I was watching Family Feud the other night. It’s been a while since I’ve seen that show. One of the questions was, “on a scale of 1-10, how much are you living up to your potential?” The most common answer was “7”. Now, I bet some of you are thinking, “that’s not too bad.” However, I have another perspective. First my guess is that the people that said “7” were ok with that and that maybe some of you are ok with that as well. That makes me sad.
I’m not suggesting that we need to beat ourselves up but I do think that everyone one of us should always be shooting to give our best and live the best life possible. Perhaps when you hear me say that, you think that sounds tiring. If that’s true then I need to be honest and say that you don’t understand what a 10 is. When we live our 10 it’s not tiring, it’s energizing. When we live our 10 it fulfills us and even work seems like play. Our career fits our passion and is a natural extension of who we are. I know, that some of you are thinking it’s not possible. BUT IT IS!
The truth is that when those people said “7” they really were at like a 3 or 4. See most people don’t understand the potential that they truly have. They sense it once in a while but most are too afraid to give it any real attention. When people think of a 10 they think of what they know they can have not what they really want. What if your 10 became what you really want rather than what you know you can have? How far from a 10 are you now? I know I’m supposed to be motivational and encouraging … sorry. However, understand that my encouragement is that I believe you have far more potential than you realize or at least you will admit. You can achieve far more than you are at present and you can build the life you truly desire; the life you are intended to live. I am passionate about helping people to understand their true 10 and then doing everything they can to live that 10. I truly believe it’s possible. What about you? Are you ready to embrace your 10 and take action to live that 10? I hope that you are and if you’d like a guide on that journey I’d love to help. Go live your 10!
To your success,
